His siblings were Louise, Fritz, Herman, and Robert. Carl Ludwig-s father Carl Sr. b. 1800 had a brother named August Johann b. 1797.August Johann had 12 children. I only have 5 names none of which were -Herman-. August and Carl Sr. were born in Schonberg, Magdeburg, Germany. In the 1870 Fayette, Tx. County census, A Herman Schulze age 32 who was married to a Charlotte age 22 lived next door to My G-G Grandfather Carl Ludwig Schulze. The 1880 census has Herman and Charlotte as having 6 children, Frederick, Louise, Robert, George, Edward, and Wilhelm. He married an Anna Abel (nee Beeck) in Hamburg, and they had a son Hermann Wilhelm Schulze. On Hermann-s birth certificate is the name of a witness, Carl Schulze. The dates are close enough to be family, but could just be a coincidence. Do you know if your Carl Schulze had any brothers? Keep in touch!
